Animal Welfare Club OAU is an initiative under the Universities Federation for Animal Welfare (UFAW), an independent registered charity that works with the animal welfare science community worldwide. We work to develop and promote improvements in the welfare of farms, companions, laboratories, captive wild animals, and those with whom we interact in the wild, through scientific and educational activity. Research and Education
Our knowledge of animal welfare is increasing but a great deal of both fundamental and applied research still needs to be done in animal welfare science, including further studies to establish the environmental and psychological needs of animals.
